We are very excited to announce the organisation of a workshop on "PDX models to interrogate open issues in clinical oncology and cancer precision medicine", which will take place in Weggis, Switzerland on October 3-5, 2016. This educational workshop will feature speakers from the Consortium as well as from other European and international academic and private institutions, to cover a wide range of topics in the field, including: the establishment of subcutaneous models and next generation PDXs such as humanised models, the use of PDXs to model intra-tumoural heterogeneity and resistance to treatment, the use of PDX-derived tumor cells towards therapeutic testing, and PDX strategies to inform clinical decision-making. The meeting will be an opportunity for you to meet and exchange with world-renowned experts in the field, and present your work with a poster. Several abstracts will also be selected for a short talk. Registration will be limited to 120 attendees to allow optimal networking among participants in a small-format meeting. The detailed program, and information about registration and abstract submission will be available as from mid-May 2016. If you would like to be informed of registration opening, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org See you there!!
